"He was the youngest of his Family. He got away with more than his siblings and it showed throughout his life. A smart and Humorous person, a unique sense of humor. If he could figure out a way to put a smile on a strangers face, he would, and watch out if he knew you, his sometimes twisted sense of humor would present itself. He made the best of any situation, great meals with very little food, made a broken car run with almost enough spare parts. If someone was in need, he would help however he could, even if it meant he would do without. He seldom let it show when things were not bright for him, but rather he would look at the positives and kept his head held high. He belonged to the 'Optimist' Club when he lived in Michigan, and rightfully so, because this is the way he lived his life. There were usually hidden lessons in most of what he did, he made learning easy and fun. He was a Leader and a Mentor, and wasn't afraid to give credit where credit was due. He was the calm in a storm. There was this short fuse he had that sometimes showed. When it did, watch out!! But, even then, it was short lived and soon it was business as usual Rarely held a grudge and saw good in most people. Doing head stands at the most inappropriate times, playing spoons or the drums, he loved to clown around or just plain entertain. Sing a song off key.... If it could put a smile on someones face or just bring them a little relief from from worry or sadness, he would be doing it. It seemed dark realities didn't exist in his world, they did, he just handled them a little differently. It was the positive attitude, the optimistic living that made it different for him and some of this rubbed off on each of us and so many others. If he had one wish, I am certain it would be for everyone, anyone he influenced in a positive way to carry on the gesture, repeat the uplifting phrase, smile or wink for someone who could use it. Think about the things he did that made you a better person or that helped you see the world as a better place and keep it going. He now lives through us....
