ROLANDO RODRIGUEZ JR.'s Obituary
In Loving Memory of Rolando Rodriguez, Jr.
December 13, 1980 to December 23, 2013
On Monday morning December 23rd, 2013 the world lost a very special, funny, kind, caring and loving person. Roly, known as RJ to many of us, was the son of Marlene Herrera and Rolando Rodriguez. He is survived by his mother and five siblings, Lauren Herrera, Craig Temple, Colby Temple, Clint Temple and William Temple. In addition, he was beloved by the many members of his extended family and wide network of friends.
Those who knew Roly, quickly learned he had a tremendous heart. He felt it was important to help others and often took the time to do so without mentioning it to anyone. He took the time to listen when someone needed an ear to bend, and he had a remarkable capacity to make others feel welcome and at ease. His energetic, positive and charismatic personality made an immediate and lasting impression on all those he came in contact with. This God gifted ability allowed him to instantaneously make friends wherever he went. He shall be remembered for the good times and the bad, but he will mostly be remembered for his kind and generous heart as well as the countless special things he did for each one of us, the crazy things he sometimes did, and particularly the many times he made us laugh until it hurt.
Those who knew Roly, experienced some of his many talents. He was an exceptional cook and loved to cook for family and friends. He was the family comedian and often did impersonations, sang karaoke and told stories and jokes. He had his own sense of fashion, like the silk suspenders he wore and wearing his belt buckle of to the right side. He was a ladies man. Women loved him, and his ability to make them feel special.
Those who knew Roly quickly realized he was a vibrant man of passion and heart, and dedicated to his family. He adored his mother, loved his father, always looked out for his five brothers and sister, nieces, nephews and cousins, and was ever grateful to his stepfather Andres Herrera and his uncle Marcello Rodriguez. He was, is and always will be truly loved and missed by many.
The family asks that flowers not be sent. Instead, please consider a donation to Roly’s memorial fund that we have established in his name, and which benefits the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. You may follow the link below to take you to his fund page.
