ROLANDO PANTOJA's Obituary
Rolando Pantoja passed away on December 31, 2016. He died peacefully following a short illness.
Rolando was born on February 15, 1928 in the Isle of Pines, Cuba. He is survived by his wife Zaida, their children Rolando Enrique and Zaida Rosa Sosa and grandchildren Katina, Jacqueline, Rolando and Max. He was pre-deceased by his grandson Alejandro Miguel in March 2016. Rolando and Zaida were married in 1954 and moved to Miami with their children in 1962. Although he always yearned for his beloved Isle of Pines, Rolando embraced life in the United States: he took pride in his American grandchildren, he believed in what America stood for and never failed to vote. Rolando was dedicated to his and Zaida's families, the spouses of his children-- Rosemary Barry and Miguel Sosa-- and his many faithful friends. He endeared himself to everyone because of his kindness, an enormous heart and wonderful laugh.
Rolando will be greatly missed by all.
