Roger Anthony Fernandez's Obituary
Roger Anthony Fernandez, 53, of Homestead, FL passed away on July 24, 2023. Roger was born September 30, 1969 to Rogelio and Ivelisse Fernandez in Miami, FL. From the beginning to the end, Roger was the biggest personality in the room. His infectious spirit was enough to light a whole room up, bringing joy and laughter to everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him. He loved the simple things in this life: God, his family, and his country. There was little else he needed from this world outside of the things he held close to his heart, though he was never the one to pass up an adventure. An avid lover of nature, travel, and anything that would get the adrenaline pumping, Roger’s love of all things exciting was something he injected into everyone’s lives.
He always said he had a million dollar smile, and it was easy to believe when it made you smile just as hard to see it. Behind the exterior of a nature-loving, rugged man who loved rollercoasters and mountain climbing was an artist and a poet and a man who loved music. He was beloved by everyone he came across, an inspiration to those he worked beside, and now a missing piece in so many lives. The world has lost a hard-working, family-oriented, patriotic, loving, kind, gentle, funny soul.
There aren’t enough words to describe him, the love he showed, how he showed it, and how much he meant to everyone he came across. The grief felt at this incredible loss cannot be quantified or measured, and he will be so sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Aurora Ivis Fernandez, his daughters Tatiana Ortega, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nastashia Fernandez, his son-in-law Alejandro Antonio Fernandez, his sister Mary Lynn Gonzalez, and his granddaughters Isabella Fernandez and Abby Violet Fernandez.
