MCKENRY
Roberta (Bobbye) McCahill McKenry of Miami, FL and Bozoo, WV passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2012. Roberta was born in Miami on March 14, 1926 to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel (Elva Ames) McCahill. Roberta graduated from Miami High, and the University of Miami (BA and LLM ‘54). She served 4 years in the U.S. State Department Foreign Service in Hungary, England and France. She practiced in the law firm of McCahill and McKenry and served as City Attorney for Boca Raton, FL in the 1960’s. She was a member of the Florida Bar, Miami Pioneers/Natives of Dade, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. Roberta is survived by her 4 loving children: Carl McKenry (Sandra), Carol Ardolino, Robert McKenry (Mary Linn) and Mary McKenry; grandchildren Dr. Megan McKenry, Angela Ardolino, Stuart (Jenifer) McKenry, Aliese (Johnny) Stone, and Carlie McKenry; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters and their husbands, Elva (Frank) Burke, Mary (Samuel) McCall, and Mattie (Gene) Bailey. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 14, 5-9 PM @ Van Orsdel Coral Gables Chapel, with a Celebration of Life service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Roberta.
