ROBERT BROOKS WHITE's Obituary
White, Robert Brooks, “Bob”, 99, or Coral Gables, FL, passed away peacefully at home, July 15, 2018. Born in New York City, and raised in NYC and New Rochelle, NY: the son of Thomas and Olive White. Graduated from Williams College and Yale Law School. Served bravely in WWII as a Navy Lieutenant. Married Mary Jeanne Mersereau on Oct. 14, 1946. In 1964 the family moved from Larchmont, NY to Coral Gables, FL where Bob started a long career at Bacardi Imports and retired as Senior Vice President of Financial and Legal. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and Mary traveled extensively and was a member of the Riviera Country Club and the First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables. Predeceased by his wife Mary, his daughter Meme, and his son Brooks. Survived by his daughter Marti Hutchison and her husband Jim of Hilton Head Island, SC, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in his name to the charity of your choice. Funeral Services at 11:30am Saturday, August 4, in the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables, 536 Coral Way, followed by Burial at Miami Memorial Park.
