ROBERT ANDRE STAUB's Obituary
Robert Andre Staub, 88, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 7th in Miami with his family by his side. Robert was born April 2nd, 1934 in Paris, France to Margot and Francis Staub. In 1940, his family immigrated to the United States during the war. He was raised in New York where he attended Riverdale Country School and Scarsdale High School. Robert then went onto college at the University of Miami where he played football. Robert spent a long and successful career running the management consulting and executive search firm Staub Warmbold & Associates, and served as the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury under President Jimmy Carter. Despite his many professional accomplishments, life was defined by his service to others, his love of family and University of Miami Football. Robert served as the former chair of the board of trustees at Riverdale Country School, a former member of the board of trustees at Eckerd College, as well as the former president of the Florida chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. Robert also served in supporting roles at countless other educational institutions including University of Miami, Duke University, and The George Washington University. His philanthropic endeavors did not cease at education as he was passionate about supporting medical research and advancements with involvement in hospitals such as Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York Presbyterian, and University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center. Robert is survived by his loving wife Christine, their children Mallory, Andrew, Margot, and Rob, his son-in-law Clayton, daughter-in-law Meryl, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, as well as countless friends, clients, and colleagues. He was predeceased by both his parents and sister, Grace. Robert will forever be remembered as an extraordinary friend, leader, father and grandfather with boundless energy, enthusiasm, generosity and optimism. A private burial will be held at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY. A memorial service will be held on February 25th at 11am at Madison Avenue Presbyterian in New York City immediately followed by a reception at The Whitby Hotel.
