Robert James Seitz's Obituary
Robert James Seitz, best known as Bob (65), with his wife MaryEllen by his side, passed away early Monday at home, November 2nd from his battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bob was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and made his way down to Miami, Florida in 1973 to attend the University of Miami to study architecture. While at UM he met his wife of 37 years, MaryEllen, and they built a life together here in Miami.
Bob was an Interior Designer and then later joined MaryEllen at her family’s business, Puma Marble Co. He took pride in his designs and was known for his attention to detail.
Bob was a fraternity brother and sports fan who loved the Steelers. He loved to play racquet ball and golf with his friends.
He was a wonderful father figure to his sister in-law’s children. He took care of his ailing mother with such love and care. His smile and sense of humor will be forever missed.
He is survived by his wife MaryEllen (Puma) Seitz and pre-deceased by his parents, Carol and Lawrence Seitz and his sister, Barb McKay. He is also survived by his siblings and a large extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th, 2020 at Van Orsdel Funeral Chapel located at 11220 N. Kendall Drive in Miami from 3pm-7pm. A funeral mass will be held the following day Friday, November 6th, 2020 at St. Mary’s Cathedral located at 7525 NW 2nd Ave in Miami starting at 10am.
COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect. Those attending visitation should wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
