ROBERT SCHMIDT's Obituary
Robert A. Schmidt, age 91, passed away January 25, 2016. Robert honorably served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He continued serving his country with distinction as an agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms for 27 years. He was an active member of the German-American Social Club of Greater Miami for 40 years.
He was predeceased by his first wife Fleurette. Robert was the beloved husband of Joyce for 40 years. Loving father of Deborah (Henry) Schade and Robert Anthony, Jr (Dorene). Dear grandfather of Jennifer (Rex) Oleson and Henry Robert Schade. He was predeceased by his brother Donald. He is survived by his step-sons Alan Day and Randy (Theresa) Day, four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, January 31 from 4-8pm at Van Orsdel Funeral Home, 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami 33176. Funeral service Monday, February 1 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 5400 S.W. 102 Avenue Miami 33165.
