ROBERT C. O'DONNELL's Obituary
O’DONNELL, Robert C., 84, went to be with our Lord on January 13, 2016. Bob was born to Regis O’Donnell and Mary Evelyn Coukart in Tulsa, Oklahoma then moved to Washington, DC where he eventually graduated from Georgetown University. After college, he served our country as an Army Intelligence Officer during the Korean War. While stationed in Birmingham, AL, he met the love of his life and soon to be wife Mavine Waits.
He was a successful business man leading Bonacker & Leigh as its CEO to many victories. He was also passionate about his family, hunting, fishing, and Notre Dame Football.
Bob was a loving husband, father, friend, mentor, grandfather, and brother in Christ. He is survived by Mavine, his wife of 58 years, three children, Michael (wife Barbara Morello), Kevin, and Kathleen (husband Keith Newcomb), and nine grandchildren Shannon, Kevin, Kristen, Kelli, Kyle, Chris, Kaitlin, Derek, and Kaleigh.
Memorial Service is Monday, January 18th at Van Orsdel Funeral Home in Kendall. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a brief service in the chapel before taking him to his final resting place at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
