Robert McKibben's Obituary
In loving memory of Robert Ward McKibben, a wonderful husband and father who passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28,2023.
Robert was born in Manila, Philippines where his father was an Engineer for General Electric and his mother was a housewife and had one sibling, Shirley. At the age of 8 his family had to leave the Philippines due to his mother's undiagnosed illness. They escaped the Japanese invasion at the start of World War II.
Robert was drafted during the Korean war to fight for his country. When he returned from the service he lived in different cities throughout the United States where he lived in Connecticut, Chicago, and eventually ended up in Miami where he met his wife, Eleyna Grippo, of 40 years.
He is survived by three daughters, Kellie Bittenbender, Jerrie Perez, and Bobbie Mesa, and eight grandchildren Robert, Erick, Taylor, and Hunter Bittenbender, Vegas and Vyolet Perez, and Alexandria and Christopher Mesa.
