Satya Yadav
This is Satya Yadav from Cleveland, Ohio. I came to know Dr. Kirkman thru Brent when he was a graduate student in Dr. Bill Whelan's Lab at University of Miami. I came to University of Miami as visiting Faculty from Africa on Wood-Whelan fellowship. Bob was a great man. I started visited Brent's Family in Key Biskayne on several occasions to help Brent when he was writing his Ph. D, thesis. My family was in India at that time and spent many evening with Brent's wonderful parents. Mrs Kirkman discussed politics with me on many occasions. Dr. Kirkman help my son to become a ball-boy during Lipton's Tennis tournament from 1989 to 1991. In 1991 I moved to Kansas City but continued my communication with Brent and his family. Once Dr. Kirkman visited Kansas City to see his daughter and invited me and my wife for a lovely dinner. Later in 1994 I came to Fort Lauderdale for a meeting and mat Dr. Kirkman in Miami. He insisted me and my wife to stay with him in Key Biskayne after the meeting. We stayed three nights with him at his Condo in Key Biskayne. My wife cooked Indian curries which he loved. One evening I played Tennis with Dr. Kirman in the main stadium of Liptons's Tennis Court. He played Violin every night for us. What a wonderful man, a senior friend and a wonderful person, and a good Doctor. May his soul rest in peace. I tried to contact Brent on many occasions but didn't find his phone number.
