ROBERT A. HORNE's Obituary
Horne, Robert A. passed away surrounded by his family on June 19, 2014. Bob was born on December 4, 1931 in Charlotte, NC. He played minor league baseball. Was a Veteran of the US Navy. Bob graduated from the University of Miami and worked at the Coral Gables Sears for many years. He also was a loyal member of the University Baptist Church. Bob was predeceased by his son Thomas Horne. He is survived by his wife of 40 years , Sara S. Horne; children, Robert A. Horne Jr., Kathy Jo Jeffers, James Horne and George Yates; daughter-in-laws, Marilyn Horne and Mel Yates; grandchildren, Nicholas Horne, Brian Horne, Michelle Horne, Jody Rose, James Jeffers, Trish Souza, Townsend Yates and George E. Yates. He will be remembered as a kind, sweet, loving man of great faith and will be missed. A Memorial Gathering will be held Monday, June 23, 2014, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 PM. The Memorial Service will be at 8:00 PM.
