Rita Secco Shannon's Obituary
SHANNON, Rita Secco, born in 1929, passed away on 2009. Rita was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 2003. Rita was a school teacher for 37 years. She graduated from Montclair Teachers College. She taught at Coral Park Elementary for 28 years from 1960 to 1988. In 1988 she retired from Coral Park Elementary. Rita belonged to many organizations, the VP at Elkettes 948, a member of St. Timothy Volunteer’s & Senior Group, and trustee for the Italian Sons & Daughters of America. She is survived by her son George (Kathy), four cats, Nutsy, Patches, Tigger and Fire. A viewing will be held Saturday, 8-29-2009 from 5-8PM with a mass at St. Timothy Catholic Church on Monday, 8-31-2009, at 10:00am. Rita will be taken to New Jersey to be with her family. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Elkettes 948.
