Richard de Aguero (November 13, 1943 – December 1, 2020) de Aguero, Richard ("Mr. D"), 77, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Frank), his grandsons, Vincent Read Obituary
Mr D was a mentor and friend. As national Honor sponsor, he was always there when you needed him. I remember him as a tireless worker, a devout Catholic, and a loving teacher.
I became a teacher and thought of him often, reconnecting after many years. Thank you for being an inspiration for so many. Rest In Peace.
We were saddened to hear of Mr. D’s passing. I have very fond memories of Mr. D from Ada Merritt and Miami High. He was a great teacher and mentor. We will miss him! Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family, that the Lord may bless and comfort you.

Richard and I met in 1972 when I was hired to teach mathematics at MHS, my former Alma Mater. I quickly realized that he was a mentor, friend and a Super Stingaree. He introduced me to the MHS staff, involved me in DCCTM and the Catholic Educators' Guild and asked me to co-teach with him at Nova University. Many times our mathematics group from MHS would meet at the Aguero's house for fellowship and watermelon drinks! Richard is the most kind, serving and noble human being I have met. I am deeply sorry I did not see him these last years but his memory will always be with Maggie and me. Our sincere love goes to Jane, Sarah and the rest of the family. We miss Richard on earth but have gained an intercessor in heaven. Rest in peace my friend.

Sad to learn of the passing of my beloved math teacher. I first met him at Ada Merritt Elementary and continued with him at MHS. He was a great teacher, a wonderful, caring person and even though I had not seen him in over 50 years still I have cherished memories. May God bless him and his entire family. MHS ‘70.
Richard was an outstanding person, educator and active member of the Miami Dade County Retired Educators Association. A strong believer and shining example of what volunteering can do to assist members of the community. Richard's friendship and passion for life will be missed.
Bugee, was both my second cousin and the family saint. He was kind beyond words, empathetic to everyone’s needs and generous to no end. I will always remember when I was working on my graduate degree he took time from his very busy schedule to tutor me in statistics. He was a life saver to so many other people in so many ways as well. Anyone that crossed his path instantly fell in love with him and we’re immediately added to his family circle. My family's best holiday memories were visiting he and Jane for the best Cuban meal on earth. I would take his aunt, my grandmother, plus my mother, his cousin along with my wife and daughter. My grandmother and mom have passed on and I’m positive are awaiting his arrival with open arms. Sarah, Frank and the boys are so blessed to have had him for a role model.
