Ricardo Paez's Obituary
Ricardo was intelligent, strong-minded, and full of personality. When he felt well, he liked a nice shirt and pants, good food, South Beach, and a long conversation. He had a presence and a way of talking that people will always remember.
His life was complicated, and the illness he lived with was heavy and hard to understand. Let’s choose to separate the illness from the person.
He was deeply loved by his children and grandchildren, by his sister and brother, by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and by many friends who cared for him along the way.
As a family, we tried to help in every way we knew how, with love and concern.
May his memory remind us to stay connected, to speak honestly, to seek help without shame, and to treat one another with compassion and patience. May we hold on to the good moments, offer forgiveness for the rest, and carry his spirit forward with understanding (Inspired by Rice).
