RENE J SOLOV's Obituary
SOLOV
Rene′ J. Solov, a long-time resident of Coral Gables, FL was surrounded in love as she died peacefully in her home on July 6, 2014. She was born on September 30, 1953 to Bird Rosen and the late Frank Rosen. Growing up in Mansfield, Ohio, she excelled in her school work and was an accomplished musician, competitive swimmer and golfer. Rene′ graduated from Mansfield’s Malabar High School and subsequently from Ohio State University. Her strong business acumen and creativity enabled her to enjoy a multi-faceted professional life as a fashion merchandiser for a national department store, restaurant owner and operator, real estate developer and interior designer consultant. For several years, Rene′ managed the Lincoln Road Studio and Gallery of the late, internationally known artist, Tom Seghi. The breadth of her professional experience describes what Rene′ ‘did’…but not who she ‘was’. Rene′s intellectual curiosity led her to learn and experience both the physical and metaphysical aspects of life. She was a Reiki Master and studied the teachings of Ron Roth and Dr. David R. Hawkins, among others. Rene′s physical challenges during the last years of her life were met with courage, optimism and a fierce determination to live life fully. She remains an unparalleled inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Rene′ is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Mark Solov, her mother, Bird Rosen, and brother, Eric. Rene′ was a good, thoughtful, generous and loving friend to many. Private Services to be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heifer International.
