Reid Waddell Prevatt's Obituary
Reid Waddell Prevatt, 57, of Coral Gables Florida, entered eternal rest on February 28, 2022.
Reid was born in September of 1964 to Preston and Dottie Prevatt. Reid graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1982 and Florida State University in 1986, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Reid was an avid cyclist, a skilled golfer (scoring two hole-in-ones in his lifetime), a regular swimmer at Riviera Country Club, and a finisher of several marathons and triathlons.
Reid was passionate about the city of Miami and took great joy in taking his niece and nephew on running and biking tours through his favorite parts of the city any time they visited.
Reid had many friends and was funny, sarcastic, friendly, and extremely disciplined toward achieving his physical fitness goals.
He cared deeply for his parents and served as companion and caretaker to them for many years.
Reid was predeceased by his brother Preston Prevatt Jr. and his father Preston Prevatt Sr.
He is survived by his brother Robert Prevatt, sister Pam Prevatt Woll, and mother Dorothy Prevatt.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date, more details to come.
