Raymond Franklin Jones' Obituary
Jones, Raymond, 92, of Miami, Fl went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2013. He was born in Griffin, Georgia on April 7, 1920. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Thelma, and his son, Ronald Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Kimbrell (Charles) of Miami, Fl., granddaughters, Sherrie Porter (Tim), Lisa Silva, Katherine Miller, and Jennifer Bossart (Greg) and 6 great grandchildren, Chase and oMadison Silva, Kolby Miller, Ansley and Haydan Bossart, and Timothy Porter.
Raymond joined the Coast Guard and served his country in WW II receiving several medals for his service. He was a man of great faith and love for the Lord and for his family. He was a member of University Baptist Church in Coral Gables, Fl.
More recently, he resided at the Palace Gardens in Homestead. A special thank you for the care they provided and to Nancye Knight for her care and friendship to Raymond and to Vitas (Hospice) for the loving care and support they provided to Raymond and his family. He will be buried in Marietta, Ga. next to his wife.
A memorial service will be held on Sat, March 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. In the chapel at University Baptist Church, 624 Anastasia, Coral Gables, Fl
