RAUL VASQUEZ's Obituary
Raul Vasquez, 64, of Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at home. Born in Manhattan, New York to Raul and Energica Vazquez he lived his life mostly in New York, Quito, Ecuador and Miami.
Raul was a passionate man who enjoyed travelling and became a Peace Corps volunteer at an early age. His love of travel pushed him to be the founder of New Life Travel in Quito, Ecuador where he prospered. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, reading, writing and watching TV (especially sports).
Raul was extremely loving and proud of his two children, Michael, of Miami and Ingrid of Miami. He is also survived by his mother Energica; his wife Margoth; his brother Ruben; his sister Zulma; his sister Carmen; his granddaughter Siena; his grandson Benjamin as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends. He was preceded by his father Raul; his sister Joan and his brother Benjamin.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Van Orsdel Kendall Chapel, 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, 33176. Raul’s ashes will be taken to sea per his wishes immediately following the Memorial Gathering. Online condolences can be left on Raul Vasquez’ memorial tribute at www.vanorsdel.com.
