Pura Alvarado's Obituary
Pura Alvarado, 93, passed away on June 16th, 2021 in Miami, Florida. She was born in Havana, Cuba in 1927 and was wed to Mario Alvarado in 1945. Pura came to the United States alongside her two daughters in 1962, where their loving family grew by one.
She is survived by her three daughters and a large family of son-in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pura will be remembered as a caring and selfless mother who grew a family based on the principles of union and love. She supplemented her elegance and beauty with a fervent passion for iHop pancakes, dominos and TV game shows. She will be remembered as "Muñequita Linda" and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Van Orsdel Funeral Home on Saturday, June 19th from 10:00am to 1:30pm ET, followed by a burial at our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Pura will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband of 62 years.
