Phyllis Denison Gautier's Obituary
Gautier, Phyllis Denison, 80, Born January 30, 1938, passed away on August 20, 2018. Phyllis was a native Miamian, preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Donald Diebold Eckis, and her husband Larry Gautier. She attended Miami High and the University of Florida, where she met her husband, Larry. They had 3 wonderful sons who were their pride and joy; Larry III, Dan (Tami), and Bob (Jeanne). She also had 5 grandchildren; Courtney, Walker, Josh, Sam, and Gus; and 2 great-grandsons; Jax and Jaden. Phyllis was a member of Granada Presbyterian Church, Beaux Art, Riviera and Burlingame Country Clubs. She loved to entertain her sons’ football teams and the FCA chapter at her home where they met before football games for fellowship and prayer. Many homecoming floats were built in their garage. She loved being a stay-at-home mom. She is survived by her cousin Beverly Dobbs, and sister-in-law, Gloria Tatol and niece, Julie Tatol, and nephews, Joe and Jeff Tatol. She spent many summers at Lake Lure Camp for Girls where she became a counselor. She always said that experience prepared her for her life with Larry and her 3 sons, as they were all sports enthusiasts. A Memorial Service will be held at Granada Presbyterian Church at 2:30 pm on Sunday August 26, 2018 with a reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Fellowship of Christian Athletes PO Box 140594, Coral Gables, FL 33114 or TC Henderson Elementary School, 11839 Rosman Highway, Lake Toxaway, NC 28747.
