Peter J. Kraus
Peter J. Kraus, 48, of Miami Beach passed away on April 11th, 2019.
Pete was an avid traveler and was a true young spirit. He was a well-respected and beloved teacher in the Miami Dade school system for over 20 years. He coached, tutored, and mentored many students during his tenure. His love for adventure, his wit, and sense of humor will not soon be forgotten. He will be missed beyond measure, and loved forever.
Pete was born on 11/22/1970 in Bronx, NY. He is predeceased by his parents James F. & Jacqueline G. Kraus of Hazlet, NJ, as well as his brother John J. Kraus of Hazlet, NJ. Peter is survived by his brothers; Edward Kraus and Shawn Penso of Austin, TX, Martin and Lorraine Kraus of South Orange, NJ, and Michael and Anne Gold of Suffern, NY. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews, Reilly and Scarlett Kraus of South Orange, and Brendan, Aidan, & Kieran Gold of Suffern, NY, as well as cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Family and friends are invited for visitation to the Van Orsdel Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25th from 2 to 4pm, and also 7 to 9 pm (3333 N.E. 2ndAve, Miami). Funeral Mass to be held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church Friday April 26th at 11:00am (3716 Garden Ave, Miami Beach). All are welcome to attend.
