To my friend Pauline,
This is a sad moment finding out about you leaving too soon. I know many people are mourning this loss and commemorating the special life that you shared. Time passes quickly, that it sometimes distracts us from focusing on what is important in this world.
I will miss your company and the great conversations we had. Your insightful awareness and empathetic approach to situations were unmatched. You sacrificed your time and resources to protect and secure your family.
The spaghetti dinners you made were delicious and the time we spent is invaluable. Your love for art reflected your creative and gentle nature. You always listened and understood someone when they wanted to talk about something.
You were the first person I met when I moved to Eden. Through you, I met the rest of your family and made friends during my years there. It was great when we found out we grew up in the same area and knew the same people. I never felt homesick or alone because the familiarity was comforting. I couldn't have moved to a better place.
I wish I called you lately to see how you were doing. Regretfully, I will never get to do that again. Painful reminders on what is important in this lifetime. With all these worldly distractions we involve ourselves in everyday, nothing comes close to a bond between friends.
This is goodbye, Pauline. I know you have peace of mind now. You are with your son in eternity. I hope to see you again when I depart from this world......

Dear Pauline,
I'm trying to process the pain, anguish and the suffering that you’ve gone through; but my heart is broken,
I know that you’re now at peace with Eric, Mom and Dad. With the angels you can now rejoice once again in the wonderful memories and the many moments of happiness that we shared.
I must arrange pictures for your eulogy, the ones i will present to our family and friends where we laughed and played; where we hugged each other and joked and teased.
They are now a tearful reflection of the past that cut through my heart like a knife. These tears flow from my eyes like the blood in my veins, It feels as though my life were ending too. This one, hurts, so much.
You will now remind me each day, to live in the moment. Life is just to precious to plan for. It’s fleeting past us too fast to catch or hold on to. It has to be lived to the fullest.
Pauline, your love for your children, family and friends extended far beyond that for yourself.
