Our Pamela
Since the day she was born and uttered her very first sound, Pammy has had a special voice; possessing a sweetness that endeared her to everyone. Her voice was actually so special and distinctive in its cuteness, that her mother, a school speech therapist, had Pam's vocal cords examined by an ear, nose and throat physician, who told her mother that Pammy's vocal structures were just fine.
As Pamela grew into a young child, she delighted her parents, big sister Samantha and the rest of the family with her sweet, affectionate, and often playful manner. She loved animals, especially horses, and had a variety of pets ranging from goldfish and bunnies, to a cat, and even a snake. She found and rescued her dog "Lady" when the animal wandered onto the campus of Miami Springs Middle School one morning before the start of school. Ever creative, Pamela took the dog away from some male students who were throwing things at her and declared to school staff that that was HER DOG and that it had followed her to school. A kind teacher had a cage in his classroom and held the dog for Pam and told her to pick up HER dog at dismissal. The next step was to get the dog home and convince the parents to let her keep her. Well....11 years later the dog is still a resident of the Flingos home, and now, sadly, waits by the door and actively searches the house, looking for her "favorite human" her Pammy, to come home.
As a child, Pamela participated in a variety of activities to include piano lessons, ballet lessons, tae kwon do lessons (briefly), little league softball and later, soccer. She was even on the Miami Springs Senior High School basketball team for a while. Then there were the 7 wonderful years when she and her sister Samantha were members of Girl Scout Troop #76; the first Girl Scout Troop in history to walk in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. There are so many great memories from the girls scout adventures, there is not time right now to relate them; but let it be said that some very special relationships in Pam's life came about thanks to Girl Scouting.
Although Pamela never minded rough play or getting dirty, an understatement, her true talents emerged by her early teen years, when she began to produce some truly remarkable artwork, to include ceramic painting, sketches, and later, beautiful works in charcoal, oil pastels, watercolors and more. In high school, Pamela designed and painted a wall mural next to the art classroom and was voted the most artistically talented female senior.
As if being artistically gifted was not enough, Pamela grew up to be a physically beautiful and friendly young lady who made many new friends while also maintaining many close friendships with girls and boys from her early childhood.
After graduation from Miami Springs Senior High School, Pamela obtained her Associate of Arts degree from Tallahassee Community College and then returned to Miami Springs to attend the Miami International University of Art and Design in Downtown Miami, where she was studying graphic design. Once again excelling in her artistic endeavors, becoming adept a using digital technology to create even more varieties of art, she had recently been invited to be a select member of the honors program and also serve as a peer mentor to newer students.
Pamela experienced some academic challenges as a young child, but once she pursued knowledge through the medium of creativity and art, her desire to learn became a strong one which facilitated the development of strong researching skills
which were enabling her to become an informed adult and also become a top performer in her field of graphic design.
Throughout her all-too-brief life, a common thread was her sweet smile, her kindness to other people and animals, and an often kooky-quirky sense of humor and her ever distinct and endearing voice and laugh.

Our thoughs and prayers go out to or distant Flingos family in this sad and difficult time. It is apparent that Pamela was loved by so many and touched a lot of lives as well. May God be with you all as you mourn such a tragic loss.
With love and sympathy,
Guy and Amy Flingos

I'll be thinking of you always Pam - Love, Lorna

Pammy, I am so thankful that you came into my life and that I was able to say I knew you. You became a close friend of a mine literally from the moment I met you. You were a wonderful person with a HUGE heart and I am so thankful to have had you in my life. I miss you everyday and there isn't a moment when I don't think about you and seriously laugh at all the ridiculous and fun times we had together. There was never a dull moment or a moment I wasn't laughing or smiling when we were together. I still want to text you everytime I hear " Like a G6" (which we jammed out to ALL night the first time we met)! I love you sweetpea, and we will see eachother again and it will be a glorious day with lots of fun and jam out sessions! <3
