After moving back to Miami his involvement with the church included serving on the Parish Council and held the office of Vice President, he played on their softball team, and was a GOYA youth advisor, Sunday school teacher, and he was a Chanter.
He had a lifelong affinity to many different sports and was influenced by his father’s love of the Yankees and his mother’s love of the Dolphins as they were season ticket holders starting in the 60’s. He then became a Boston Celtics fan while living in Boston and would later follow the South Florida teams as they started later in his life. He also shared many great memories with his family as a long time Hurricanes season ticket holder of both the baseball and football teams.
