Nestor Carlos Lucignani's Obituary
Nestor Carlos Lucignani, 89, loving father and grandfather passed away peacefully in his daughter Kathy's home August 9, 2011.
Nestor was born in Key West, Florida on February 26, 1922. He moved to Miami as a teenager to attend Miami Senior High School.
Nestor is predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary and his brothers and sisters; Claudina, Elena, Mema, Alfred and Julian. He leaves behind his three children, Nestor Julian (Barbara) in Texas, Kathleen Mary and Gina (André) Gadpaille, both in Florida. He will be remembered and missed by his 9 grandchildren: Suzanne, Angela, Dana, Catherine, Michael, Mary, Cindy, Julianne, Nicole and 8 great grandchildren: Brianna, Sage, Adam, Scout, Hannah, Sonya, Julian and Meredith. He also leaves behind his companion and friend, Eleanor. He retired 22 years ago from RWD, Inc. which he worked for over 40 years. He won many awards for his Bonsai plants and was a member of the Pistol Club in his younger years. He will always be remembered with love for all that he has done over his lifetime. He will be missed by his family and friends and will always have a special place in our hearts. A Visitation will be held on Friday August 12, 2011,from 6–8pm at Van Orsdel Kendal. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM, followed by a burial at Woodlawn North Cemetery.
