Nélida Ramos Peña's Obituary
Nelida Ramos Peña, age 75, of Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side on October 27, 2025.
Born on June 17, 1950, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Nelida earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. She then went on to work as a public servant under the Puerto Rican governor and senate majority leader under various adminstrations of Partido Popular Democratico. She lived a full life and will be remembered by her loving, giviing nature. Nelida also loved to travel with her mom and eventually her daughter. Nelida’s greatest joy was her family and becoming a grandmother. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Noemi Graziano, and her cherished grandchildren, Diana, Audrey, and Luca. Her warmth, wisdom, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a service at 2:00 p.m., at Van Orsdel Funeral and Cremation Services, 11220 North Kendall Drive Miami, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Luca’s college fund, a cause especially close to Nelida’s heart and one she took great pride in supporting..
