NANCY L. WILLIAMS's Obituary
WILLIAMS, NANCY LU, 81, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on July 9th. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years Don "Buddy" Williams.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on February 14, 1931, she was the daughter of Thomas and Marie Blount.
Nancy graduated valedictorian of her class at Perry High School in 1949. After high school she
moved to Miami to begin her career as a flight attendant with National Airlines, then married and raised her family. Nancy returned to her passion for flying in 1977 with Pan Am and traveled the world until she reached the age of retirement.
Survived by her four children, Holly (David) Blount, Kelly (Michael) Nicely, Lindy (Brian) Osten and Guy (Madeline) Williams, her seven grandchildren, Caroline, David, Travis, Sara, Jennifer, Dylan and Caitlin, her sister, Jean (Jack) Voelzke and her dear nieces and nephews.
Her family is grateful for the care Nancy received at Chalet Old Cutler.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 13th at 4:00 p.m.,
Christ the King Lutheran Church 11295 S. W. 57th Avenue, Pinecrest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Miami Science Museum.
