Nancy Quintarelli Romanik's Obituary
Nancy Q. Romanik, the beloved mother of Gina Mejia (Juan), Robert Romanik and Nick Romanik, and the cherished grandmother of Joshua and Matthew, passed away on June 22, 2018. Nancy was born on July 3, 1941 in Richmond, Virginia. She lived in Virginia, New Jersey and Minnesota during her youth and worked for the insurance industry in adulthood. After marrying, she moved to Miami, Florida with her husband and children, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was an involved parent and housewife, taking her children to sporting activities, baking for class parties and bake sales and being an active member of the PTA. Once her children got older, she returned to the workforce as a college test preparation representative visiting South Florida students to advise them on the importance of preparing for college entrance examinations. Later in life, she became a sales specialist for an internationally renowned manufacturer of fine silver flatware and home accessories. Prior to the birth of her first grandson, she retired to assist in caring for him. Having a passion and eye for home decorating, in retirement she assisted her children in designing their homes. She spent her final years spending time with her family and friends. Nancy’s loss will be felt by all who knew her. A memorial gathering will be held at Van Orsdel on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 5:00PM, with a memorial service starting at 7:00PM.
