Muriel "Kigi" Laub Thomson's Obituary
THOMSON, Muriel “Kigi” Laub. Kigi died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 2nd, 2010. Born in Pittsburgh on November, 13th, 1926 to parents Herman and Mabel (Anderson) Laub. She was a graduate of Miami-Edison H.S., and studied at the University of Miami and Miami-Dade Community College. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Kigi lived in Coral Gables for over 50 years. She was predeceased by husbands Adam G. Thomson, Jr. and Steven A. Lynch, Jr. She is survived by sons Michael, Joseph and Adam Thomson III, daughter Amy Thomson, and stepchildren Stephen Lynch III, Patrick Lynch, Linda and Andrea Lynch. Her grandchildren are Darby Thomson and Katie Vick. Kigi was a devoted wife and skilled painter. She loved gardening and travel. Her favorite place in the world was France.
Her memorial service will be at the Chapel of the Venerable Bede on the Campus of the University of Miami, March 7th 2010 at 12:30 PM. Her viewing will be at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES CHAPEL, Monday March 8th from 12 to 2 PM, with a burial to follow at Woodlawn Park Cemetery.
