MICHELE "MIKE" NAPOLI's Obituary
Michele “Mike” Napoli, born April 8, 1944, peacefully passed away on June 25, 2019 in his home in Miami, Florida. He is survived by his wife and best friend -Annie and only son GianCarlo Gjertsen Napoli from Triscia.
Born and raised in Polistena, Italy, Michele embraced a career in the cruise industry since the early 1970's. He went on from serving as Maitre’d to Food Manager and then eventually as Hotel Director onboard several vessels. He was well loved and respected by his crew.
Staying true to his roots, Michele loved Italian soccer and always cheered for his favorite team, Juventus. He loved cooking, adored by kids and playing with the dogs, Dinho being his biggest favorite 🐶!
Michele will be fondly remembered as classy, posh but very down-to-earth, funny, caring and loving person.
Viewing and prayer service will be held on Friday, June 28, from 6-9pm at Van Orsdel 4600 SW 8th St. Coral Gables FL 33134. Cremation will immediately follow. Having always been a sailor at heart, it was Michele's request that his ashes be scattered in the sea where he spent most of his entire life.
