MICHAEL JOHNSON SHEPHERD's Obituary
Michael Johnson Shepherd, 72, of Miami, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
He was born to the late Clyde Shepherd and Dorothy Mckeon, October 6, 1942 in Tallahassee, Fl. Michael was married to Linda Quinto Shepherd in 1993.
Michael was a Sales Rep until he retired in 2004. He was passionate about his career and was honored with awards such as Top Road Warrior in Sales and National Sales Award.
Michael was an active member of St. John Neumann and served as a facilitator of the Marriage Covenant Ministry with his wife. He was a brother of the Emmaus ministry as well as a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Michael had a gregarious spirit, stranger to no one. He enjoyed conversing with people, sharing jokes and filling a room with laughter. He appreciated people for their individuality and had a generous heart. Above all, the joy of his life was his loving wife, Linda and their family.
Michael was preceded in death by his son, Michael Jr. He is survived by his wife, Linda Quinto Shepherd. He is also survived by his four children: Laura Shepherd, Desiree Calzadilla, Simone Lopez and Linda Quinto-Ellis and eleven grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Patty Howells and his brother-in-law, Skip Howells and their children Mark Howells and Kari Prichard. He will be dearly missed by his beloved and devoted best friend, Princess.
A mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
