MICHAEL A PIROZEK JR's Obituary
Michael Anthony Pirozek passed away on Tuesday, September 17th, surrounded by loving family. He was born on September 5th, 1943 in Morristown, New Jersey, to Michael and Helen (Doncheski) Pirozek, and grew up in Kearny, NJ. He spent much of his life in Towaco, NJ before moving to Key West this past July. He attended Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington, NJ; then continued his education at Saint Peter’s College, where he was an adjunct professor, and earned his MBA at Seton Hall University. He went on to have a dedicated career of over 50 years as an HR director. He met his wife, Jacqueline Kocian, when she pulled up to the gas station where he worked. The pair married in 1968, and had their daughter, Linda, in 1971. Mike’s helpful and generous nature and his great sense of humor had a positive impact on so many people. He loved to fish, and spent many seasons as a charter captain on Lake Ontario. He was looking forward to spending more time fishing after moving to Key West with his daughter and his black Lab, Sammy. He was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline (1993). He is survived and dearly missed by his daughter, Linda; brother, Anton (and wife Fran); sister, Susan Rothwell (and husband David Meagher); nephews Joseph, Stephen, and Jason, niece Kristen, and their children; as well as his longtime partner, Louise, and many friends and extended family members. Those that he leaves behind are comforted in knowing that Mike is now at peace, and with his buddy Bob on a calm lake with small chop where the walleye are biting.
As per his wishes, he is to be cremated and no services are to be scheduled.
