Mercy...was an amazing woman and a role model to all. She is now an angel in heaven watching over those she loves. I am blessed to have had her in my life. She always treated me like family. I will cherish all our times together. I am thankful for all the times she made me lunch on Friday during Lent. BEST egg salad sandwiches EVER!!! I make them for my kids today using her recipe. Nowhere near as good. She will be missed terribly. With love Alice and family

Mercy Vega was a lady. I loved her use of proper Spanish and the fact that never a nasty word was heard from her. Thanks to Mercy, and her lifelong friendship with my husband, Victor, I became employed and UM and my daughter is a Cane. I am forever indebted to her for this kindness. We will miss her grace, gentleness and generosity. Rest in peace, dear Mercy and I pray for God's comfort for Neysa, Jack, Nicole and Daniel.
