MARYANN GORDON's Obituary
MaryAnn Gordon 8/5/40-8/14/16. After a long struggle with cancer, MaryAnn passed away surrounded by loved ones. MaryAnn personified the word "tough". She fought this disease for so long and never complained unless she couldn't work in her yard. More often than not, she had a garden hose in her hand. She retired from Miami Dade Police Dept. in 2007. She watched over many friends' pets and loved taking her yearly Sanibel vacation. Her husband, Charlie, passed away in 2006. She will truly be missed! She is survived by her daughters, Ellen, Joanne, Noreen & Theresa. She is also survived by her son-in-laws, Bryan & Quentin, as well as her grandchildren, Madison, Amanda, Tanner & Christopher. In lieu of flowers, please donate your time in helping a family that is struggling with a sickness and/or donate to Sea Turtle Research c/o Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation. Mom, you will always be in our thoughts and hearts.
