MARY NELSON PARKES's Obituary
PARKES, Mary Nelson, 90, of Coral Gables passed away Nov 13, 2013. She has won her battle with heart disease and has accepted her gift of eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bo) Edward Parkes, Sr. She is survived by her son, William Edward Parkes, Jr. (Kathleen) and daughter Esther Parkes Wiles (David), six grandchildren and their spouses, and eighteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, 11-17-13 from 3–5 pm at Van Orsdel Kendall Chapel, 11220 N. Kendall Dr. Miami. A graveside service will be on Mon, 11-18-13 at 11 am at Dade Memorial Park No., 1301 NW 136 St. Miami. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be sent to the Mary Parkes Memorial Fund at Palm Beach County Youth for Christ, www.yfcteens.com, to support camp scholarships.
