Mary Agnes Murphy Eney's Obituary
Miami, Florida - Eney, Mary Agnes (Murphy), 86, of Miami, Florida entered the church triumphant on January 20, 2021. Born to Catherine Ryan and Edward Murphy in Fall River, Massachusetts on November 3, 1934. Mary attended Union Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN) in 1956. Throughout her career, she worked as a surgical nurse at South Miami and Baptist Hospital. She was married to Earl G. Eney Jr, December 18, 1961 and raised her family in Miami, Florida. Mary was a long time dedicated member of Central Presbyterian Church and actively spearheaded the collection of school supplies/holiday gift baskets for the local migrant preschoolers for many years. She also was named Presbytery
Woman of the Year in 2001 for her outstanding work, service and dedication to the Presbyterian Women and Church Community. Mary is survived by her son Scott, daughter Helen (David Ferguson), grandchildren Brooke, Mackenzie and Kelli, and her brothers and sisters, Barbara Fleck, Sheila Stansfield, Edward Murphy, John Murphy, James Murphy, Richard Murphy, Linda Renard and Donna LePage. She is predeceased by her son, Earl D. Eney, her husband Earl G. Eney, Jr., her parents and sister, Margaret Masse.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Van Orsdel Funeral Chapel, 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33176; viewing will be from 2 to 5 pm with a memorial service at 3:30. Livestream will be available via the Van Orsdel website (https://www. vanorsdel.com/).
