MARY WILBUR HOPKINS's Obituary
HOPKINS, Mary W. Ellis, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born in Chattanooga, TN. In 1916 and moved to Florida with her husband Robert and four children in 1955. She was the matriarch of her family for decades. Predeceased by husbands Robert Ellis (1964) and Mac Hopkins (2000). She is survived by daughter, Frances Ellis Golden (d.Robert), son Robert W. Ellis, Jr. (Virginia), granddaughter, Frances, great grandchildren ,Kursten, Courtney, and John. Granddaughter Sara Shaw, great grandchildren, Taylor and Caleb, granddaughter Roni Sieber (Ray), great grandchildren Seth, Austin and Tate. Daughter Lynda Menter (Martin). Daughter Mary Kate Belin (Robert), granddaughter Rebekka Bogner (Ron), grandson Ben Belin (Anjelica) and great grandson Benjamin Belin. A visitation will be on Tuesday, 12-2-14, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm with a service from 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm. at Van Orsdel Kendall Chapel, 11220 N. Kendall Dr., Miami, FL. Burial to follow at Flagler Mem. Pk. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to www.nationalmssociety.org or www.autismspeaks.org.
