Mary Ann, born October 21, 1942 in Coral Gables, FL Died October 10, 2014, St. Catherine’s Hospital, Hialeah, FL. Parents: William J. (Secretary and Treasurer, University of Miami) and Theresa E. Hester, formerly of Coral Gables, FL. A graduate of Miss Harris Florida School, 1960. Bachelor of Education, University of Miami, 1966. Master of Special Education, University of San Diego, 1972. Employed as a teacher, Miami-Dade Public School System, over 35 years. Member of Delta Gamma, Beta Tau Chapter University of Miami, Alpha Delta Kappa, Honorary Teacher’s Sorority, and St. Hugh’s Catholic Church, Coconut Grove, FL. Survived by four cousins: Barbara A. Echtenkamp of Hilton Head, SC; G. Samuel Bowman of Oklahoma City, OK; Joseph F. Bowman of Pensacola, FL; and William R. Bowman of Annapolis, MD. Funeral services will be held at a future scheduled date at St. Hugh’s Catholic Church with a burial following at Woodlawn Park Cemetery North.
