DRESSEL, Mary Nelle Malcolm, Born September 6, 1923 in Social Circle, Georgia – passed peacefully on February 24, in Viera, Fl. Former “First Lady of Coral Gables”, she moved to Miami in 1937 with adoptive parents : Aunt Nelle & Thad Malcolm. Married C.L. “Jerry” Dressel in 1945 and lovingly raised her five children: “Chuck”, Debra, Jeffrey, Mary and Lois. She is preceded in death by her 8 siblings: sisters: Vesta & Louise, brothers: Louis, Robert, Harry, Roy, Ray and Homer Malcolm. "A gracious, Godly woman who has left us all with a legacy of love for family, friends and others". Visitation 5-7 p.m. Friday @ VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES, 4600 S.W. 8th Street. Graveside Service 11:30 a.m. Saturday @ Woodlawn Park North, 3260 S.W. 8th Street, Miami. Following the burial a Celebration & Worship Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Coral Gables Congregational Church, 3010 Desoto Blvd, Coral Gables.
