We are a neighbor of this amazing family.
Dear Ed, good morning.
I’ve been meaning to reach out, but also wanted to give you and your family space during this tender time. We are so deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved mom. She meant so much to us—and to me personally—more than she may have ever realized.
My husband knew both of your parents, having lived here for over 20 years, and I’ve had the privilege of knowing them for the past 14. Family means everything to me, and caring for others is something I hold close to my heart. I lost my grandmother many years ago, and I cared for her deeply. In so many ways, I saw her spirit reflected in your mom. Being there for your mom in any way I could was not just a joy, it was an honor.
When I lost my own mother three years ago, your mom brought a quiet comfort to my aching heart. Her presence, her grace, and her gentle warmth helped fill a space that felt so empty. She had a way of making others feel seen and loved, and I will always carry that with me.
You and your family have a rare and beautiful gift of togetherness which is something that’s not often seen these days. The road ahead may feel heavy, but please know that we are here for you. We love you all, and we will always be the kind of neighbors you can count on.
Your mom may no longer be physically present, but her light continues to shine in every life she touched. Her legacy is love, and it lives on in each one of you.
