MARTHA PIERRE-LOUIS's Obituary
On Friday May 22, 2015 at 3:05 p.m. Martha Charlier Pierre-Louis, departed this earth at the age of 84. In accordance with her wishes she had a peaceful passage at home.
Martha was born in Aquin, Haiti on January 27, 1931. She grew up in Haiti and is one of nine children born to Antoinette and Louis Charlier. She immigrated to the United States in 1955 where she married Fernand Pierre-Louis. Martha and Fernand were married for 59 years. She spent 17 years living in New York until she moved to Miami, Florida in 1972 where she remained until her death. She enjoyed sewing, reading and music. She loved going on cruises and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Fernand Pierre-Louis, her children Ann-Karen Weller and Nadine Pierre-Louis, her son-in-law, Andrew Weller. Her grandchildren, Monique Weller, Christopher Weller, Gene Pierre-Louis and Louis Pierre-Louis and the newest member of her family Nasha Weller. She is also survived by her brothers Gerald, Jacques, Edy Charlier and her older sister Ketley Conte in addition to several nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday evening 5/29 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Van Orsdel Family Funeral Chapel. The memorial service will be held Saturday 5/30 at 2:00 p.m. at the same location. The address is 11220 N. Kendall Drive. A celebration of her life will follow the service at 14886 SW 132 Avenue.
