Marjorie A. Longacre's Obituary
LONGACRE
Marjorie A Longacre passed away August 30 after a long illness. She was 87. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Raymond and Margaret O'Toole Fournier in 1922, she graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. In 1943 she married Rodney G Hoffman, a career US Air Force officer. They traveled extensively and lived in Tokyo Japan during the occupation. Marjorie was widowed in 1957 and returned from Houston, Texas, with her daughter, Dione, to Cleveland where she attended Dyke Business College Then she became a securities trader and met Richard D Longacre, a Paine Webber registered representative. They married in 1964 and moved to Medina, Ohio. In 1972 they moved to Key Biscayne, Florida. Marjorie became a multi-million-dollar salesperson for realtor, the Keyes Company, on Key Biscayne. After retiring, Marjorie and Richard split their time between Westfield, Ohio, and Key Biscayne. She is survived by her daughter Dione Hoffman Houchins and son-in-law, William G Houchins; sisters Patricia L Shaw and Jacqueline R Devine and brother-in-law William M. Devine; nieces Deborah A Shaw, Susan M Shaw, Karen Devine Belote, Christine Devine Dyke, and Linda Hoffman Sebok; and nephew Thomas Hoffman. Memorial Mass 10 am Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 101 Harbor Drive, Key Biscayne. Entombment Saturday in Cleveland, Ohio at Holy Cross Cemetery.
