Marie Helene Cohen's Obituary
COHEN
Marie Helene Cohen, from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2011 in the company of her loved ones. She was in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her 4 children and many of her loved ones as she serenely set sail to another life. She was an active member of the St. Augustine Church and kept close contact with her group till her last days. She was a great “fashionista” who set trends wherever she went and provided the world with her own set of colors. She was a big fan of the opera but her greatest pleasure in life was sitting around the table with her loved ones and laughing about things that lay beyond our control. Nothing was greater to her than her family and she never shied away from sharing any of that love with others. She was the mother of Kara, Nathalie, Stephanie, and Christopher; grandmother of Kayla, and sister to Chantal and Reginald. Her nephews, nieces, and cousins looked up to her with great admiration and she carried her love to them whenever time brought them together.
The viewing will take place on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Van Orsdel Funeral Home, on 4600 SW 8th St from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and services will be at the St. Augustine Church on February 24, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. on 1400 Miller Road.
