Marie Eugenie Kissoon's Obituary
KISSOON, MARIE, 98, died early Wednesday, Oct. 16, in hospice at Miami Jewish Health Systems. The North Miami-Dade resident served as RN and midwife in her native Guyana and as an RN in Newark, NJ and in Brooklyn, NY. Survivors include sons Renton Orlando and Lewis, grandson Ravi and great-grandchildren Kristen and Jacob. Viewing will be at Van Orsdel Funeral Home, 3333 NE Second Ave.,Miami, 6-9 p.m., Friday. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church, 2961 NW 175th St., Miami Gardens, followed by interment at Vista Memorial Gardens, 14200 NW 57th Ave., Miami Lakes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to the Marie E. Kissoon Nursing Scholarship, 2961 NW 175th St., Miami Gardens, FL 33056, attention Pastor N.
