Dear Luedeking Family,
I am the daughter of Gretl Neuwald, who worked for your parents in New York. I had the pleasure of visiting your folks twice, once with my mother (we went to the Fairchild Gardens and the Everglades). My sister Bonnie and I visited again and your parents took us out to dinner. I have a lovely picture from that visit in my kitchen which I enjoy each day. I truly believe that your parents were the some of the sweetest people I have ever known. Their kindness and generosity amazed me. Your mother even sent me (and my twin-another sister) a birthday card each year. My mother exuded joy whenever she talked about them. I feel very fortunate to have shared space with them during my life.
I just learned of Marianne's passing when my holiday card to her came back to me.
