FUERTES (nee KERCADO), MARIE
Born October 1, 1922 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, passed away September 15, 2016. She is survived by the love of her life for 76 years, Erasto (Andy) Fuertes, Four children, Marie Blair, Erasto (Andy) Fuertes Jr. (Jean), Chacha Updyke (Marshall), Alicia Heinrich (Norman), 11 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and four Great-Great Grandchildren.
Marie was a very Talented women who enjoyed handcrafting, sewing, knitting, porcelain painting, goose and ostrich egg design and decoration. She worked for several years at Wackenhut Corporation in Coral Gables, FL. and also as a designer for World of Miniature Bears. Her designs were displayed at the yearly miniature shows in the US and in England.
The family will receive friends on Saturday September 17th from 1 to 4 PM at Kendall Van Orsdel, 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, Florida 33176.
