Margot L. Garcia, 103, of Santiago de Cuba, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2024, in her home in Little Havana, Florida surrounded by her loved ones. Margot was a woman of faith, commitment, and family. She married the love of her life, Laureano A. Garcia, on July 10, 1944, and remained inseparable until he passed away on August 16, 2008. Along with her husband, she led her family from Cuba to Miami in 1959 in search of freedom and a better life. She retired at 90 from a lifetime of work at the University of Miami medical campus. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She is survived by two of her four children, four granddaughters, four great-grandsons, and three great-great grandchildren.
