Margaret Louise Watkins' Obituary
Watkins, Margaret L. Stringer, 80, passed on August 14th 2018, from a long battle with cancer. Margaret was a Miami-Dade native, having lived in South Florida all her life. Margaret was married to George (Ken) Watkins (Deceased, 2004) for 49 years, and together they raised three wonderful children, Susan, Wayne and Jim, and welcomed Nelson, Frances, and Kelly into their family by marriage. The greatest joy of her life was caring for her family, and helping to raise her 6 grandchildren, Kenyon, Katie, Christine, Andrew, Rebecca and Kayley. If you spent any time with Margaret, you could frequently hear her saying “I could write a book,” a testament to how much she thoroughly enjoyed her life. A memorial service will be held at Van Orsdel Funeral Chapel located at 11220 N Kendall Dr, Miami, FL 33176 on Friday, August 17th, 2018 from 4:00-7:00pm, with a service beginning at 6:00pm.
